Referencing the text, name 2 positive outcomes and 2 negative outcomes that come from visual electronic media use in childhood. Also referencing the text/research, if you were working with a parent who needed guidance on screen use for children, what information might you share?

The two negative outcomes of electronic media covered in (ch 6. pg. 209) stated children under three who watch tv frequently have shorter attention span at 7 years old. The second negative outcome stated in the chapter stated children who watch violent shows tend to inhibit difficult behaviors as they get older. The two positive outcomes stated children who are difficult to sooth are calm when they watch tv. the second positive outcome in the chapter stated children learn from educational programs they watch on tv.  I would inform the parents that although children who are exposed to electronic media can be beneficial when it comes to educational programming they will have to balance the amount of electronic media their children are exposed to or else it could lead to them having difficult behavioral issues in the future.
